Another year sober

And so as 2022 draws to a close, I celebrate another year sober. Next year (April 2023) I will celebrate six years sober. What have I learned.. Well there’s definitely no going to sleep and waking up the next day over the rainbow! for years I thought I would wake up one day and whoosh I’d be there! Nope, the gift of sobriety is born out of hard work and commitment. So instead of “over the rainbow” you get “a fabulous sense of achievement, the ability to love yourself, be kinder to yourself and others, peace and tranquility” so keep going, keep being committed, keep up the hard work (well not really hard work, more time invested wisely) 👏
